The Studiengemeinschaft Holzleimbau e.V. (Glued Laminated Timber Research Association) is the association of manufacturers of glued laminated timber (glulam) active in Germany. It was founded in the year 1957. In addition to the German and international manufacturers of glulam, the Studiengemeinschaft Holzleimbau e.V. includes manufacturers of adhesives and suppliers of machinery. It has a primarily technical orientation and is very active in the area of research and development as well as national and European standardization.
Together with other organizations of the forestry and timber industry, the Studiengemeinschaft Holzleimbau e.V. publishes information on the use of glulam and Duo-/Triobalken®, which is available via the Internet at www.infoholz.de. Questions on the use of glulam and Duo-/Triobalken® can be directed to the business office of the Studiengemeinschaft Holzleimbau e.V..
The Studiengemeinschaft Holzleimbau e.V. is a founding member of the umbrella organization of European associations in the glulam industry, GLULAM, a member of the Hauptverbandes der deutschen holz- u. kunststoffverarbeitenden Industriezweige e.V. (Leading Association of German Timber and Plastic Processing Industries) as well as the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Holzforschung e.V. (German Society for Timber Research).
